The original H**me5 Birkin bag was inspired by and named after 60’s fashion icon Jane Birkin. It was designed to be a luxury bag that would meet the needs and stand up to daily use by a multitasking woman on the go. The Birkin 30 is the Goldilocks of the Birkin bag family, It is the ideal H**me5 bag for everyday use. Created in Retourne style and made from Swift leather, which is known as Gulliver leather until it was discontinued in 1999, this wonderful leather was reintroduced to the market in 2005 under the new name Swift.
